Immerse yourself in the captivating world of Stephen Burke, where light, colour, and form intertwine to create mesmerising visual experiences. Through the ingenious employment of mirrors, Stephen infuses his artwork with luminous refracted light and boundless reflections.

Stephen finds inspiration in the vibrant colours and intricate shapes encountered during extensive travels through the Middle East, Egypt, the Mediterranean, and Europe. While living in Barcelona he was Influenced by the visionary works of Gaudi, whose mastery of colour and shape continues to inspire. Driven by a passion for geometry and symmetry, Stephen weaves elements of structure and form into his art, inviting viewers to explore the dynamic interplay between light, colour, shape, and reflections.

In his design process, Stephen begins with free-form sketches and hand drawings, progresses to CAD and technical joinery drawings, and culminates in cardboard scale models.

Plywood sculptures, adorned with multiple layers of reflective acrylic mirrors, draw viewers into infinite depths, while hand-painted panels ignite endless possibilities of design and colour.

With the support of trusted manufacturers, Stephen navigates the complexities of acrylic fabrication, pushing the boundaries of creativity within the constraints of the product and available colours, infusing each piece with a unique sense of depth and colour combinations.

From bold geometric compositions to reflections of light and shadow, Stephen's artwork invites you to contemplate the joy of colour and form.
